Professionals I have coached
Hundreds of professionals that I’ve coached come from India’s top companies & respected positions.

THE GAP
Clear In Your Head, Lost when you speak.
None of this means you are a bad speaker. It means nobody taught you the system.
Great communicators are not the loudest people in the room. They think clearly, read the room and make the message matter. All of it can be learned.
You know the subject cold. You still take three minutes to reach the point.
A simple question comes in. Your mind goes blank and you ramble to fill the silence.
Your heart races before you speak. Your voice speeds up and your sentences trail off.
You watch your own recording and see someone less sure than you really are.
WHY THIS COURSE IS DIFFERENT
Built In The Newsroom. Made for your room.
Public speaking taught by someone who has done it on live television for 21+ years, with no second take.
01
The 7-Second Frame
People form an early impression of a speaker fast. You learn to shape your presence, your opening and your first few seconds on purpose.
02
The TV Anchor Advantage
Live television demands quick thinking, active listening, sharp questions and calm under pressure. You learn the same skills.
03
The Interviewer's Lens
You learn to hear what is really being asked, answer it with relevance, and bridge to the message you want people to remember.
04
The TV-to-Boardroom Transfer
Techniques from high-stakes interviews and on-camera work, moved into your presentations, meetings, panels and leadership conversations.
05
Practice, Not Just Theory
Every module pairs the concept with speaking drills and a recorded assignment. You speak, review and refine. You do not just watch and move on.
06
Real Pressure, Not Perfect Conditions
You learn to stay clear, credible and composed when you are nervous, challenged, interrupted or put on the spot.
HOW EACH MODULE WORKS
Short Lessons. More speaking than watching.
After the course, bring it live: One free 30-minute group session with me. 15 minutes for your questions, 10 minutes of hot-seat practice, 5 minutes of rapid feedback.
STEP 1
Watch
A short video lesson. One idea, one framework, taught through real situations.
STEP 2
Do
A speaking drill you do out loud, straight after the lesson.
STEP 3
Record
You film yourself on your phone or laptop. Between 45 seconds and 3 minutes.
STEP 4
Review
You score your own recording with the rubric and scorecards inside the course.
STEP 5
Repeat
You go again with one fix. The second take is where the skill builds.
THE CURRICULUM
8 Modules. One complete speaking system.
Every module ends with you speaking out loud. That is where the change happens.
1 – The Communication Advantage
From speaking to being understood. You record a 60-second introduction and score it on the 4 pillars.
- You learn: What effective communication actually does. The 4 pillars: clarity, credibility, connection and confidence. How to pick the right medium. How to be approachable without losing authority. The 7-Second Frame. The anchor drill: one message in 30, 15 and 7 seconds.
- You practise: Record a 60-second introduction and score it. Rewrite one real work message for email, a meeting and spoken delivery.
- You download: Communication Self-Audit, 7-Second Frame Checklist, 30-15-7 Compression Drill.
2 – Know Your Audience & Craft Powerful Messages
Say the right thing to the right people. You build a one-page message map for a real presentation.
- You learn: Audience mapping: what they know, need, fear and care about. Defining the one outcome you want. The message hierarchy: headline, proof, implication, ask. Openings that earn attention. Storytelling: setup, tension, insight, payoff. Using examples without losing the point.
- You practise: Create a one-page message map for a real topic. Record three openings for it: data-led, story-led and provocative.
- You download: Audience Map, Message Map, Power Opening Bank.
3 – Overcome Fear & Speak with Composure
Control the speaker before controlling the speech. You film a 90-second talk before and after the reset routine.
- You learn: What stage fright does to your voice, body and thinking. Mental versus physical anxiety. A pre-speaking reset routine. Breathing, grounding and attention control. What to do when your mind goes blank. Your personal anxiety-management plan.
- You practise: Film a 90-second talk before and after the reset routine. Create your own 5-minute pre-speaking ritual.
- You download: Pre-Speaking Reset, Blanking-Out Recovery Card, Personal Anxiety Plan.
4 – Make Your Voice Work for You
Sound credible, not merely audible. You read one 45-second script three ways: rushed, flat, then intentional.
- You learn: Vocal variety and projection. Articulation and pronunciation. Pace, pauses and emphasis. Sentence endings and vocal certainty. Removing filler words. Answering objections without getting defensive.
- You practise: Read the same script three ways. Record a difficult answer using pause, point, proof, close.
- You download: Vocal Presence Scorecard, Daily Filler-Word Tracker.
5 – Own the Room Without Saying a Word
Body language as communication. You watch your own talk on mute and judge only what your body says.
- You learn: Posture, gestures and facial expression. Eye contact in rooms and on video. When to move and when to stay still. Using space without performing. Reading audience cues. Recovering when the room looks disengaged.
- You practise: Deliver a 2-minute talk twice, once with deliberate physical choices and once naturally, then compare. Watch a muted recording and assess only the non-verbal layer.
- You download: Body Language Audit, Camera Framing Checklist.
6 – Think on Your Feet
Stay clear when the question was not on the script. You answer 10 rapid-fire questions about your own work, on camera.
- You learn: The anatomy of a strong spontaneous answer. A 3-step structure for unexpected questions. How to buy thinking time without looking evasive. Bridging, reframing and redirecting. Handling objections and hostile questions. Credible ways to say “I don’t know”.
- You practise: Complete the rapid-fire 10-question drill on camera. Practise three difficult questions using a structured bridge.
- You download: Think-on-Your-Feet Framework, Bridge Phrases, Difficult Question Playbook.
7 – Executive Presence: Command the Room & the Camera
Your presence before, during and after the first sentence. You record a 60-second walk-in and opening.
- You learn: What executive presence is and is not. The 7-second entry: face, posture, pace, eye contact and first line. How TV anchors establish authority without sounding rehearsed. Opening a meeting, panel, presentation or keynote. Camera presence: lens, framing, energy and eye line. Virtual presence: attention, listening and screen behaviour. Reading the room and adjusting in real time. Building your personal Executive Signature.
- You practise: Record a 60-second walk-in and opening. Deliver the same message for a meeting room, a camera and a virtual meeting, adapting each version.
- You download: Executive Presence Scorecard, 7-Second Frame, Opening Lines Bank.
8 – Persuade, Influence & Be Remembered
Move people from listening to acting. You deliver a 3-minute persuasive talk with evidence, a story and a clear ask.
- You learn: Persuasion versus information. Credibility, emotion and logic. Evidence, statistics and anecdotes. Rhetorical devices that sharpen a message. Framing and cognitive biases. Adapting your style across stakeholders and cultures. Your personal style of influential speaking. The memorable close.
- You practise: Deliver a 3-minute persuasive talk using evidence, story and a clear ask.
- You download: Evidence-to-Story Converter Examples, Persuasive Speech Builder, Final Speaker Scorecard.
8 modules. 15 assignments. One system you can reuse. Each module builds on the last. By Module 4, you lead with your point and your voice backs it up. By Module 8, you deliver a 3-minute persuasive talk and compare it with your first 60-second recording. You do not just learn this. You speak it, record it and fix it, module after module.

Speak with Impact is an 8-module, self-paced online public speaking course taught by me, Mridu Bhandari, a TV journalist and anchor with 21+ years in broadcast media. It teaches you to speak with confidence, clarity and authority in presentations, meetings, interviews, panels and tough Q&A. Every module mixes short video lessons with speaking drills and assignments.
Speak with Impact is for working professionals, managers, founders, consultants and subject experts who know their subject but struggle to say it with impact. It suits you if you freeze, ramble, speak too fast or lose your thread under pressure. It also covers speaking on camera and in virtual meetings.
You learn eight skills in order: the basics of clear communication, knowing your audience and shaping a message, managing fear, using your voice, body language, thinking on your feet, executive presence in rooms and on camera, and persuasion. Each module ends with a practice assignment and tools you can download.
Most courses teach public speaking as performance. I teach it the way live television taught me: think fast, listen closely, answer the real question and make every second count. Speak with Impact includes methods like The 7-Second Frame and The Interviewer's Lens, and every module makes you speak and record, not just watch.
Yes, if you practise out loud. Watching videos alone will not change how you speak. That is why Speak with Impact follows one rule: watch, do, record, review, repeat. Every module has at least one exercise where you speak aloud, and I teach you how to score your own recording so you can see your progress.
Speak with Impact has 8 modules and you set the pace. A good rhythm is one module a week, which takes about 8 weeks. Leave time for the assignments. The recording and review is where most of the improvement comes from.
You record yourself on your phone or laptop in most modules, because that is the fastest way to improve. The recordings stay with you. You review them yourself using the self-review rubric and scorecards inside Speak with Impact. Nobody else sees them unless you choose to share.
Yes. Module 3 of Speak with Impact is fully about fear and composure. You learn what stage fright does to your voice, body and thinking, a pre-speaking reset routine, breathing and grounding, and what to do when your mind goes blank. You finish with your own 5-minute pre-speaking ritual and a personal anxiety plan.
Yes. Module 5 covers eye contact on video and camera framing. Module 7 covers camera presence, including lens, framing, energy and eye line, plus how to behave in virtual meetings. One assignment has you deliver the same message for a meeting room, a camera and a virtual meeting.
Yes. After you complete Speak with Impact, you can book one free 30-minute group practice session with me. It is practice, not a lecture: 15 minutes of questions, 10 minutes of hot-seat practice where volunteers speak, and 5 minutes of rapid feedback with one action to work on.
Speak with Impact is a self-paced video course you take on your own time. The Executive Room is my 8-week live cohort for up to 15 leaders, with weekly 90-minute sessions and real-time coaching from me. Take the course to build the skills. Choose the cohort if you want live practice and personal feedback.
Speak with Impact costs INR 7,999 as a one-time payment. That includes all 8 video modules, 15 practice assignments, the speaking workbook, 22 downloadable tools and one free 30-minute group practice session with me after you complete the course.
